NRCT Attends Welcome Reception Ahead of STS forum Council Meeting at National Academy of Sciences, Washington, D.C.
On 13 January 2026, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in her capacity as a Council Member of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum, led a delegation of executives and academic advisory committees to attend the Welcome Reception for participants of the STS forum Council Meeting. The reception was graciously hosted by Dr. Marcia McNutt, President of the National Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Hiroshi Komiyama, Chairman of the STS forum, at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., United States of America.
The event was organized to provide Council Members of the STS forum with an opportunity to exchange views and strengthen networks in science, technology, and innovation prior to the official Council Meeting scheduled for the following day.
On this occasion, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong engaged in discussions and shared perspectives with fellow Council Members—senior leaders from leading organizations around the world—to further enhance international cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
Participation in this welcome reception represented a valuable opportunity to reinforce institutional relationships and promote mutually beneficial collaboration moving forward.
