NRCT Leads Thai Inventors and Researchers in Launching the Thailand Pavilion at The 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China

On 11 June 2026, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), officially welcomed the Thai delegation of inventors and researchers and presided over the opening of the Thailand Pavilion at the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026. The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Thachaphorn Suntrajarn, Consul General of Thailand in Shanghai, who delivered special remarks. The event was also attended by representatives from public and private sector organizations, inventors, researchers, and distinguished guests at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China.

Dr. Wiparat De-Ong stated that NRCT remains committed to establishing and strengthening key mechanisms that support and provide opportunities for Thai inventors and researchers to showcase their inventions and innovations, developed through research and scientific inquiry, on international platforms. Such opportunities help demonstrate the quality and standards of Thai research and innovation to the global community. NRCT also places great importance on fostering innovation and promoting the effective use of technology to support the country’s sustainable development. Participation in this competition provides an important platform for Thai inventors to demonstrate their capabilities, exchange knowledge, and gain inspiration to create innovations that effectively address societal and industrial needs.
The Thailand Pavilion features a comprehensive exhibition of Thai research achievements, inventions, and innovations submitted for competition and display at the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026. The exhibition showcases more than 150 entries from 59 organizations, representing youth innovators, researchers, and inventors from educational institutions, government agencies, private-sector organizations, and state enterprises across Thailand.
The event is being held from 11–13 June 2026 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, providing a valuable international platform for promoting Thai innovation and strengthening global collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
