The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, led a delegation of Thai inventors and researchers alongside international organizations to attend the opening ceremony of the “2026 Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo.” The event was held from July 3 – 4, 2026, at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport in Osaka, Japan.
During the inaugural session, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, was invited to deliver a congratulatory address and participate in the official opening ceremony of the “Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo: JDIE 2026.” The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Manli Hsieh, President of the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Eddie Shih, Director of International Development at WIIPA.
Dr. Wiparat De-ong stated that the NRCT is committed to promoting and supporting the introduction of Thai inventions and innovations to the international stage. Furthermore, the agency strives to provide Thai inventors and researchers with opportunities to build global networks across various regions. This initiative aims to foster and elevate the development of Thai inventions, research, and innovations, ensuring they achieve recognized international standards.
The JDIE 2026 event serves as an excellent opportunity for inventor networks from Thailand and around the world to unite and once again present high-quality inventions on an international platform.
