Executives of the Science and Technology in Society forum (STS forum), Along with International Experts and Scientists, Support the Organization of the “STS forum Japan-Thailand Symposium 2026,” Joining Forces to Advance the Future Through Science, Research, and Innovation

On April 24–25, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, welcomed executives and staff of the Science and Technology in Society forum (STS forum), along with international experts and scientists from global organizations and leading universities, on the occasion of the “STS forum Japan-Thailand Symposium 2026.” The event was held at World Ballroom, 23rd Floor, Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok.

The event brought together executives and researchers from various countries to exchange knowledge, visions, perspectives, and experiences across multiple fields, contributing to the advancement of key global issues in the 21st century. The symposium was attended by executives from the Science and Technology in Society forum (STS forum) and international partner networks, including:

- Professor Sadayuki Tsuchiya, Executive Director of STS Forum

- Professor Yoichiro Matsumoto, Former Science and Technology Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Japan

- Professor Dr. Yoshiharu Matsuura, The University of Osaka, Japan

- Associate Professor Dr. Kun-Cheng Ke, National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan

- Professor Dr. Asrulnizam Bin Abd Manaf, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia

- Professor Dr. Praveen Linga, National University of Singapore, Singapore

The symposium served as an important platform for academic knowledge exchange and a mechanism to strengthen international collaborative networks, generating new momentum for science, research, and innovation.

The “STS forum Japan-Thailand Symposium 2026” was held on April 24–25, 2026, under the theme “The Great Convergence: AI-Driven Health, Environment and Bio-Economy,” reflecting a major global trend in integrating Artificial Intelligence with advancements in health, environmental sustainability, and the bio-economy. The initiative aims to promote balanced and sustainable global development.
