NRCT Supports the Hub of Talents in Evidence Synthesis in Organizing the "ACTIVES Workshop in Evidence Synthesis" to Strengthen Health Policy and Workforce Capacity On July 20, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with the Hub of Talents in Evidence Synthesis, organized a workshop titled the "ACTIVES Workshop in Evidence Synthesis." Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, presided over the opening ceremony. Associate Professor Dr. Vorasit Vongsutilers, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, delivered the welcoming remarks, while Associate Professor Dr. Surasak Saokaew, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Phayao, delivered the report. The event was held at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University. Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, stated that NRCT is actively driving the country’s science, research, and innovation systems forward by supporting the Hub of Talents and the Hub of Knowledge. Furthermore, NRCT supports the establishment of the Hub of Talents in Evidence Synthesis to develop the capabilities of researchers and healthcare personnel, ensuring that their expertise meets international standards. This practical workshop aims to enhance knowledge and skills in evidence synthesis while promoting the practical use of empirical evidence in policy decision-making, health system development, and improving the quality of life of the public. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasak Saokaew of the University of Phayao noted that the ACTIVES (Advancing Collaboration, Translation, Innovation for Value in Evidence Synthesis Hub of Talents) project is a research collaboration that aims to develop a network of researchers and experts from universities, the private sector, and international collaborative networks. Its goal is to advance the country’s capacity in evidence synthesis through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the production of high-quality research. The project also supports the efficient production and utilization of empirical evidence for health policymaking, decision-making, and national health system development. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vorasit Vongsutilers of Chulalongkorn University expressed his pleasure that the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chulalongkorn University is collaborating with the Hub of Talents in Evidence Synthesis to organize this workshop. The event serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences in evidence synthesis and promotes capacity building among researchers and health personnel, enabling them to conduct research that meets international standards. It is anticipated that participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to apply evidence synthesis methods to their research and build academic collaborative networks. This will subsequently contribute to the production of high-quality research and the further application of empirical evidence. The "ACTIVES Workshop in Evidence Synthesis" is being held from July 20–22, 2026. The program features lectures and hands-on activities covering the entire evidence synthesis process. Topics include:
