On July 17, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), participated in the presentation of scholarships and awards for women in science and technology by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, The Princess Royal of the United Kingdom, at Chulalongkorn University.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, along with Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the NRCT, and MHESI executives, visited the research and innovation exhibition held at the event.

The exhibition showcased research and innovation projects funded under Thai-UK collaborations, including the Newton Fund and the International Science Partnership Fund, in partnership with the British Council and the Royal Academy. The exhibition highlighted research in energy storage technology, AI applications for osteoporosis risk analysis, and bee species research and development.

The collaboration between Thailand and the United Kingdom marks another important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding research and innovation networks between the two countries. Through such partnerships, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) continues to foster collaboration among researchers, higher education institutions, and partner organizations in Thailand and the UK to advance knowledge, technology, and innovation for sustainable national development.
