NRCT Leads Thai Inventors to Participate in “The 37th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2026)” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), led a delegation of Thai inventors and researchers to participate in and showcase their inventions and innovations at “The 37th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2026),” held from 18–20 May 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
ITEX is one of Asia’s largest and most prestigious invention and innovation exhibitions and competitions. Organized annually for more than three decades, the event serves as a premier international platform where inventors, researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world present their inventions, exchange knowledge and experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration and commercialization.
The exhibition is organized by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS), a leading organization dedicated to promoting invention and design in Malaysia, with support from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia. ITEX 2026 featured nearly 1,000 inventions and innovations from government agencies, private-sector organizations, universities, research institutes, and innovation organizations representing numerous countries and territories, including Algeria, the Philippines, Oman, the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Macao SAR, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Qatar, Chinese Taipei, and Thailand.
In 2026, NRCT led more than 200 Thai inventions, research outputs, and innovations from 48 organizations to participate in the competition and exhibition. Participating institutions included:

Through its participation in ITEX 2026, NRCT continues to strengthen Thailand’s innovation ecosystem by providing opportunities for Thai inventors and researchers to showcase their capabilities on the international stage. The event serves as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, international networking, technology transfer, and collaboration, while promoting the global visibility and competitiveness of Thai inventions and innovations.
