Invention promotion organizations from over 30 countries, along with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), participated in the opening ceremony of The 5th Silicon Valley International Inventions Festival (SVIIF) 2026 on August 14, 2026, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California, USA.
During the inaugural session of the event, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and act as a representative of the invention organizations to express gratitude to IFIA as an allied agency. The Honorable Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor, Mayor of Santa Clara, presided over and delivered the opening address. Meanwhile, Mr. Alireza Rastegar, President of IFIA, and Mr. John Calvert, President of the Festival Jury, gave welcoming remarks to the executives and inventors from various countries showcasing their inventions in the competition. Participating countries included the USA, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, India, Italy, Sweden, Spain, China, Turkey, Brazil, Qatar, Kuwait, Croatia, South Korea, and Thailand.
Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the NRCT, stated that the NRCT and the delegation of Thai inventors, alongside the international inventors participating in The 5th Silicon Valley International Inventions Festival (SVIIF) 2026, would like to extend their gratitude to the International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA). IFIA has played a crucial role in promoting, supporting, and creating opportunities for inventors worldwide to bring their inventions and innovations to various international competitions, including this event in Silicon Valley. This platform not only provides inventors with the opportunity to build international networks across different regions but also promotes and supports the development of inventions, research, and innovations to achieve recognized international standards.
The 5th Silicon Valley International Inventions Festival is scheduled to be held over three days, from August 14 - 16, 2026, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, USA.
