NRCT participated in the Celebration of the 170th Anniversary of Thai-French Diplomatic Relations and the Success of the "Franco-Thai Symposium on Higher Education, Research, and Innovation," Hosted by the Embassy of France in Thailand
On May 15, 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, led by Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, assigned Ms. Saowanee Mungsujaritkarn, Deputy Executive Director of NRCT, along with NRCT officials, to attend the celebration marking the 170th anniversary of Thai-French diplomatic relations and the 340th anniversary of the first official contacts between Thailand and France. The event, hosted by the Embassy of France in Thailand, took place at the French Ambassador's Residence in Bangkok and was presided over by His Excellency Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand. The gathering brought together key figures from higher education institutions, research agencies, and international cooperation organizations across both public and private sectors in the fields of higher education, research, and innovation.
On this occasion, Ms. Saowanee extended her congratulations to the Ambassador on this significant diplomatic milestone. She also commended the success of the "Franco-Thai Symposium on Higher Education, Research, and Innovation" and the strengthening of academic cooperation between Thailand and France, particularly within industrial sectors focused on engineering, health, agriculture, sustainability, and advanced technology.
Participation in this event marks another significant step reflecting the commitment to promoting academic cooperation in higher education, research, and innovation between Thailand and the French Republic.
