National Research Council of Thailand Participates in the General Meeting During STS forum 2025 at the Kyoto International Conference Center, Japan

On 6 October 2025, Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), attended the General Meeting as a Council Member of the STS forum. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and discuss future directions of the STS forum, a leading international platform on science and technology. The General Meeting brought together representatives from more than 50 member organizations. Discussions focused on the management and strategic planning of the STS forum, expanding its outreach to ensure greater regional diversity, and broadening research themes to better address emerging global challenges in the years ahead.
This General Meeting marked an important milestone for the STS forum in strengthening its governance and overall effectiveness. It also reinforced the Forum’s shared commitment to leveraging science and technology in a more strategic and responsive way to address the rapidly changing global landscape.
