NRCT Leads Thai Young Inventors to Showcase Innovations at the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) during ITEX 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), led a delegation of Thai young inventors and researchers to participate in the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) and present their inventions and innovations at “The 37th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2026),” held from 18–20 May 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) is an international invention and innovation competition for young inventors aged 21 years and below. The event is organized by the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS), a leading organization dedicated to promoting invention and design in Malaysia, with support from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia, as part of ITEX 2026.
In 2026, NRCT led more than 500 young Thai inventors to participate in WYIE under ITEX 2026. More than 150 inventions and innovations from educational institutions across Thailand were showcased and entered into the international competition.

Through its participation in WYIE 2026, NRCT continues to provide opportunities for Thai youth to demonstrate their creativity, scientific knowledge, and innovative capabilities on the international stage. The event also serves as an important platform for fostering global networking, knowledge exchange, and inspiration among the next generation of inventors, while strengthening Thailand’s innovation ecosystem and enhancing the country’s competitiveness in science, technology, and innovation.
