Thai Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Commends Thai Inventors Showcasing High-Quality Innovations at ITEX 2026
On 19 May 2026, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), welcomed H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuala Lumpur, during her visit to encourage and meet Thai inventors and researchers participating in “The 37th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2026)” at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Ambassador to tour the Thai exhibition area and learn about the diverse range of inventions and innovations presented by Thai researchers and inventors at one of Asia’s leading international invention and innovation exhibitions.
During the visit, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas expressed her admiration for the quality, creativity, and potential of the inventions showcased by Thailand. She also conveyed her encouragement and support to the Thai delegation, recognizing their efforts in representing the country on the international stage and demonstrating Thailand’s capabilities in research, innovation, and technology development.
In addition, the Ambassador shared valuable perspectives on creating new opportunities for Thai inventions and innovations, particularly in terms of standardization, practical utilization, commercialization, and future development. Her recommendations highlighted the importance of strengthening pathways for transforming innovative ideas into tangible products and solutions that can generate economic and social impact.
The visit reflects the strong support provided by the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur for Thai researchers and inventors and underscores the collaborative efforts to promote Thailand’s innovations internationally while enhancing opportunities for future partnerships and market expansion.
