NRCT Leads Thai Inventors and Researchers to Participate in the 19th International Invention and Innovation Show (INTARG 2026) in Katowice, Poland
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), led a delegation of Thai inventors and researchers to participate in the 19th International Invention and Innovation Show (INTARG 2026), held from 2–3 June 2026 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Republic of Poland. The event provided an international platform for showcasing and competing innovative inventions and research outputs from around the world.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, was invited as a distinguished guest to participate in the official opening and deliver congratulatory remarks. The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Patrycja Cecot, President of Eurobusiness, the organizer of INTARG 2026. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Mr. Bogumił Sobula, Vice President of the City of Katowice, and Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Biernat, President of the International Jury from the Industrial Automotive Institute, who welcomed delegates, inventors, and innovators from across the globe.
Dr. Wiparat De-Ong emphasized that NRCT places great importance on promoting and supporting Thai inventions and innovations on the international stage. Participation in global innovation exhibitions and competitions not only enhances international recognition of Thai research and innovation but also creates valuable opportunities for Thai inventors and researchers to establish international networks and collaborations, contributing to the advancement of Thailand’s research and innovation ecosystem in accordance with international standards.
INTARG is one of Europe’s leading international exhibitions and competitions for inventions and innovations. In 2026, the event organizer, Eurobusiness-Haller, invited NRCT to serve as an official partner of the exhibition in recognition of its role as Thailand’s principal agency responsible for coordinating and selecting Thai inventions and innovations for international participation. The exhibition attracted entries and exhibits from numerous countries across Europe and Asia.
For INTARG 2026, NRCT brought 24 Thai inventions and innovative research projects to participate in the competition and exhibition. The projects represented a diverse range of fields, including:
- Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Chemistry
- Health and Medicine
- Food and Food Industry
- Environment
- Information Technology (IT)
- Social Innovation
- Everyday Objects (Jewelry, Hobbies, Decorative Arts and Design, Games and Toys, Home and Garden)
- Industry (Industrial Machinery and Equipment, Engineering, Metallurgy, Electrical and Electronic Technologies, Energy, Textiles, and Construction)
- Young Inventor
The participation of Thai inventors and researchers at INTARG 2026 reflects Thailand’s commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening international collaboration, and promoting the global visibility of Thai research and technology. Through such international platforms, NRCT continues to support the development of high-impact innovations and enhance the competitiveness of Thailand in the global innovation landscape.
