NRCT Leads Thai Inventors to Participate in The 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), led a delegation of Thai inventors and researchers to present and compete with their inventions and innovations at the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026, held as part of the 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF). The event took place from 11–13 June 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Wiparat De-Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), stated that the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026 is a significant international platform under the 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair, attracting inventors, researchers, and academics from around the world. The event is organized by the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) in collaboration with public and private sector organizations in the People’s Republic of China.
The expo serves as a venue for inventors from various countries to showcase and compete with their inventions and innovations. Participants include representatives from government agencies, private enterprises, universities, research institutes, and innovation organizations from both China and abroad. This year’s event featured more than 1,000 inventions and innovations submitted by organizations from over 10 countries.
For the 2026 edition, NRCT brought a diverse range of Thai inventions, research outputs, and innovations to participate in the 9th China (Shanghai) International Invention & Innovation Expo 2026, competing across various categories, including Agriculture, Biotechnology, Health & Medicine, Ecology and Renewable Energy, etc., and highlighting Thailand’s research and innovation capabilities on the international stage.
