The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, recognizes the importance of collaborative networks among researchers and organizations. Accordingly, the NRCT has developed the Hub of Talents and the Hub of Knowledge, with implementation beginning in fiscal year 2023 and continuing to the present.
The development of the Hub of Talents and the Hub of Knowledge serves as a key mechanism for positioning Thailand as a national and international hub for Science, Research, and Innovation (SRI). The initiative supports the establishment of research groups and networks focusing on critical issues and national priorities, with the aim of addressing challenges and strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness across various dimensions.
The implementation of the Hub of Talents and the Hub of Knowledge is driven by center administrators with in-depth knowledge and understanding of their respective fields, as well as the ability to bring together working teams and networks of experienced researchers with expertise relevant to the missions of the respective centers.
To date, the NRCT has supported a total of 70 Hubs of Talents and Hubs of Knowledge, covering a wide range of critical issues of national importance across various dimensions.
