Thai National Research Repository : TNRR : http://www.tnrr.in.th
The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and Thailand Research Organizations Network (TRON) that including National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), The Thailand Research Fund (TRF), National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI), Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI) and Agriculture Research Development Agency (ARDA) cooperatively develop the system of Thai National Research Repository (TNRR).
TNRR divides into 2 parts :
1) Data Bank or TNRR
2) Management system or NRMS
Both work with connected system
1. Thai National Research Repository (TNRR)
TNRR is used to collect research data, research result, researcher data and research for commercial application from research agencies’ database across the country, by linking without centralized data. The database owner can maintain and improve accuracy of data in real time system for sharing information, publish to public by internet without charge at http://www.tnrr.in.th. It also provides an overview of the country research for planning the management of research and development in various dimensions.
Consists of 3 subsystems :
1. Database of finished research projects : by NRCT
2. Database of researchers and research results : by NSTDA
3. Database of utilization from state – supported researches : by STI
2. National Research Management System (NRMS)
NRMS is a systematic approach to manage the country's overall research budget, with efficiency and unity reducing redundancy of funding, can be used as for a database granting holistic funding of the country.
Consists of 2 subsystems :
1. Database of Single Window & Data Entry : by HSRI
2. Database of ongoing research projects : by TRF
Both parts are integratedly operating, liking/exchanging and forwarding information, by the following steps:
1. Researchers register in TNRR for information backup.
2. When the researcher applies for granting , the system will retrieve the researcher information automatically, and show in Database of
Single Window & Data Entry (NRMS).
3. Information will be forwarded to Database of ongoing research project (NRMS) for further monitoring, as planned.
4. Lastly, research result of the finished research project will be forwarded to TNRR for utilization.
http://www.tnrr.in.th is the channel through country’s researches and management of the country’s research funding, with completeness, easy to access the site which helps to reduce information redundancy, optimize in management of country research and country research funding. Administrators and researchers, both government and public can seek the co-researchers and those with talents from expert finder in TRNN.
National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) would like to invite your agency to join as part of the development of national research system, by linking together research database of agencies with TNRR or want to be a part of TNRR.

IR Data Center of NRCT1 : http://www.irdc.nrct.go.th
TNRR works by technology of OAI-PHM (Open Archives Initiative – Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) to link the agency's research databases. If the owner of the research database uses Open Source Software, in data administration it can be linked directly to TNRR. In contrast, for agencies that do not used Open Source Software but want to join TNRR, need to develop their own OAI-PHM module or buy Commercial Software.
NRCT have developed IR Data Center as a tool to solve such problems, for agencies that do not use Open Source Software and are not ready to develop a new research database support, just register IR Data Center system on behalf of the owner of the research database and your agency can easily send data in the form of Excel (.CSV).
National Research Council of Thailand and (NRCT) would like to invite your agency to join as part of the development of national research system, by linking together research database of agencies with TNRR.
